Mariachi Club Chapter 3 Newest Members!
I am Maribel Chavez, and I am writing to you on behalf of the fundraiser being held by the Jordan Elementary Mariachi Club, also known as Mariachi Juvenil Los Jaguares de Jordan. Funds from the community and volunteer musicians have allowed the club to grow.
The group has expanded from 9 students to a total of 25 students in the last two years! The students range from 3rd to 5th grade and are under the direction of Ms. Benton who is a dual immersion teacher at Jordan. She raised money for instruments and offered her time in order to create and realize her vision.
Sadly, during the academic year, we were unable to generate enough funds. We require additional mariachi suits and musical instrument services. I hope we accomplish this in time for next month’s performances.
