Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center, which opened in September, 2009, is the newest hospital in the area in more than four decades. We put you and your health at the heart of everything we do.

The nearly 700,000 square foot facility combines leading edge technology with a warm touch and represents the newest thinking in hospital design, with the emphasis on patient comfort, healing and wellness.

With more than 600 board-certified physicians and thousands of additional health care professionals, our health care team is well equipped to help you get healthy, stay healthy and thrive.

The six-story hospital is conveniently located adjacent to our Orchard and Garden Medical offices. It has 352 licensed beds, 11 operating rooms and an ultra-modern emergency department to serve the Southeast Los Angeles County community.

Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center was designed with the patient in mind. Ninety-five percent of our patient rooms are private and feature pull-out beds so your loved ones can be by your side when you need them most. Spacious visiting areas and a healing meditation room give friends and family relaxing places to gather. Nurses? stations are placed strategically throughout the facility so caregivers can be even closer to their patients.
